About Me

Hello and nice to meet you. I’m Georgie and I’ll be your humble blogger here today.

A little bit more About Me

I’m here because I’m lucky enough to be doing what I love for work and now I want to help you do the same.

I keep myself pretty busy running my own screen printing business and clothing line Beneath Rejection full time. For the last couple of months I’ve been working on this site as well as freelance writing and trying to maintain some sort of social life at the same time.

I’ve been a lover of unique t-shirts since I can remember and have been told by my parents multiple times about how picky I was with what I’d wear as a child…guess not much has changed. Basically, I’ve always loved t-shirts and indie clothing labels.

Since starting my own business I’ve been fortunate enough to meet some awesome people who have made their dreams a reality by taking the plunge and starting labels. They inspired me to put my talents to use and finally start my own clothing label. Initially I launched a small line that showcased local artists. Although the Tamper label is since gone and dead, it was an amazing learning experience and has helped lay the foundations for my next line, Beneath Rejection.

Way back when I started my screen printing business, I had no idea how much I would learn from other people. And since starting my own clothing line I’ve met some more incredible people and picked up a few more lessons and now I want to share them with you.

So, What is Thread Business?

When I was thinking about starting up my first clothing line, I came across a few websites that told me how to make a fortune by selling t-shirts or offered me a few pointers on how to get started. The problem was I was left with so many questions and couldn’t easily get in contact with the owners of the sites.

Now, my mother always told me there’s not much point knowing something if you’re not willing to share it with others. That’s kind of the person she is, but it’s something that’s always stuck with me. So, I decided to start my own page where people could come with their dreams of starting a clothing line, find some information and read some advice from people who have done it themselves. Not to mention a place they could easily get answers if they needed them. And thus, Thread Business came to be.

Although it’s easily days, I have lots of plans for this site and really hope it can help other people profit from their passions in this industry.

I hope you enjoy the site. Take your time to look around, and please feel free to contact me personally (georgie@beneathrejection.com) if you have any questions at all.
